with special guests; - VIALKA -

- Vialka hail from deepest France, via everywhere and nowhere. They are a devilishly high-spirited guitar/drums duo who tour hard and fast across the world. Their music skips joyfully across borders, channeling desert blues, Chinese folk songs, scatter rock and European gypsy song dynamics in a whirlwind of dervish energy. Their endless gypsy punk folk rock tales, hard hitting poly-rhythms and yelps and howls make for a danceable and intoxicating brew.

- AMERICANS -

- AMERICANS is a duo based in Liverpool formed by Jacobia & Trippy from Stig Noise, Horse Bastard, (+) making improvised adventure loop based electronic music using (a) modified mini drumkit and tiny casio. these feed via fuzz + delay + modified effects & microphones into a mixer and loop pedal which comes out of a speaker.
At times this channel can easily be slipped into a feedback loop (1)(2) or (3).

POSTMUSIC CINEMA DVD - OUT NOW

During the last 6 months of 2009, members of POSTMUSIC began creating a documentary in a disused, cold, rainy, almost-entirely-broken 1930s art deco Odeon Cinema in the Toxteth area of Liverpool, Northwest UK.

In spring we found a way into the building, cleaned up the areas that were usable and set up a studio. We began inviting musicians and bands to record a live session in one of the building's many rotten rooms, corridors, roofs and balconies, as well as in the main theater room itself.
This DVD features performances from:

Action Beat.

also includes a spoken word session from Paul Tarpy and is hosted by Liverpool comedian Riuven.

Only the first run of 50 copies come in Limited Hand-bound Notebook and Screenprinted packaging.

Ordering is now possible at the bottom of this page or Order tab on the right. Safe payments through Paypal accepted. Orders sent out within 5days.

Each session from Aug - Nov 2009 was treated in a similar fashion to a live concert, the band arriving mostly unbriefed, setting up and playing in just a few hours, while POSTMUSIC members documented the whole scene using 16 channels audio engineering techniques and a handful of DV film cameras.

13 of these audio / visual sessions are available on POSTMUSIC's Cinema Sessions DVD Vol 1.

The first 50 Limited Edition run of Vol.1 DVD is hand-bound and screen-printed notebook packaging is now available to Order for £20 inc Post and Packing in UK.  Safe payment through Paypal -

Stig NOise - Happy New Year

After a mammoth 2month tour Stig Noise have returned to Liverpool to find a new home

Saturday, 24 September 2011

RUINS ALONE ! * STIG NOISE * BARBEROS * HIVE COLLECTIVE @ WCS 02/10/11

A super special closing party for the 'Unintention' exhibition.

WCS Presents
U N I N T E N T I O N

Private View | 28 September 2011, 6-9pm Admission FREE

Exhibition | 29 September - 2 October 2011, 12-4pm Admission FREE

The exhibition explores the ways in which creativity can manipulate and reinvent the purpose behind ideas, objects, web-sharing, personal and world events. Works include a satirical rehash of a presidential television broadcast by filmmaker Chris Morris; as well as an immersive display of projected stills from the collection Pripyat: 21 Years After Chernobyl by architectural photographer Quintin Lake, documenting both the initial aftermath of the nuclear disaster and the change in its environment since.

Along with the show as a whole, the works use existing material by changing their original intentions; a leaders broadcast becomes a skilled re-edit ridden with satire; the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, via its documentation, inevitably becomes a collection of photographic art. Other new and existing works in the show will include; the focus of normal practical objects being turned into pieces of visual art; a short video art piece encompassing a well known graffiti love-note from the walls of the infamous Park Hill flats in Sheffield; and various pieces looking at Internet Memes and considering their place in the art world.

U N I N T E N T I O N Closing Night Event | 2 October 2011

7pm | The Light Bulb Conspiracy | Admission FREE

Film collective, Tea and Two Slice, present The Light Bulb Conspiracy documentary screening + free tea and toast!

RUINS ALONE //

Ruins is the brainchild of drummer Tatsuya Yoshida, one of Japan's most original and fiercely independent musicians. He formed the band in the summer of 1985, originally intending to be a power trio, but when the guitarist didn't show for their first rehearsal, he bumped Ruins down to a rhythm-section-only duo. At the time, he was also performing with YBO2, along with avant guitarist K.K. Null. The seeds of the present-day communal atmosphere of Japanese underground musicians were sprouting with this early moonlighting affair, as Null would go on to play with Zeni Geva and Yona-Kit, among others, and of course Yoshida has played with darn near everyone, even The Flying Luttenbachers in a live version of "De Ventura".

With the departure of fourth bassist Sasaki Hisashi, Yoshida Tatsuya is carrying on as RUINS alone. A one-man performance that has to be seen to be believed. Yoshida performs the music of RUINS, KOENJIHYAKKEI and other music he has composed throughout his career.

Ruins produce a unique fusion of punk and progressive rock. Yoshida has stated that while he admires punk's energy, he has no desire to play pure punk, and in fact grew up on a steady diet of prog bands such as Genesis, ELP, and Gentle Giant. However, his true inspiration came from France's Magma. Magma's trademark odd-metered motives, faux operatic signing, and especially Christian Vander's extroverted drumming have certainly made their way into Yoshida's consciousness, although the jazzy undertones and relatively atmospheric group sound did not. From an early point, Ruins appealed to the avant-garde and punk listener more than the more traditional 'progger'. On their first recordings, they teamed up with NYC experimental sax-icon John Zorn, and would later put out albums on his Tzadik label. The Ruins sound is dense mix of hardcore punk, prog theatrics, and free-improv. Some critics have used the term 'jazzcore', but that seems inadequate. There really is no describing the band's sound.

Stig Noise vs Divorce >> European tour

:::EINE WELT AUS HACK and POSTMUSIC PRESENTS:::

DIVORCE...HA!

Fantastic blast of no wave thrash bashing
like ungodly offspring sprung from Cuntzilla's incubator
a bloody smear of nasty mutation
oozing a sickly runoff of infectious virulence
naughty little bastards...." Lydia Lunch, February 7th, 2010

STIG NOISE - The set erupts into the finely tuned discordance for which Stig are consistently celebrated for. A melodic anarchy of brass, throaty lyricism, and killer onslaughts of bass, drum and guitar that never once veer far from perfection.

Each song is decadence - an irresistible array of limb twitching, unpredictable and mediated psychosis punctuated by the occasional spoken word vocal, dual drum finale and sumptuous tentative build ups of pace and noise that explode into a fever of hot tempered noise. by Amy Robert. Purple Revolver.

POSTER DESIGN BY: me presents

An evening of Drums, Shouting & Joy featuring:

FOOTVILLAGE - 4 drumkits, one loudspeaker and 8 lungs delivering a whirlwind performance bordering on selfhelp group of immense joy and release. True antimagic! from a collective involved in the legendary diy venue The Smell in LA.

A - Foot Village - Let Bebongs Be Bebongs, Idiot by FatCat Records

Alot of attention came their way in 2009 when they released Lp 'Anti-magic' on Upset The Rhythm ( LDN) an AMAZING RECORD! ! which featured collaborations with a series of artists like AIDS Wolf, Jason Forrest, Kyle Mabson, Narwhalz, Tussle and Death Sentence: Panda!, Poingly, Radio Shock, and more. Its an amazing record!

Based around the idea that the human race is clearly about to descend into apocalypse due to the dwindling fuels and completly absurd truth that nobody will do anything about it or take an alternatives seriously... in a landscape where no electricity, no transport or anything we know to be the building blocks of our current civilization.... what the hell else can people do except create the ' loudest acoustic rockband on the planet' props. legends. we will all be members of footvillage within 50 years.

Footvillage are in the UK to perform at ATP and playing these few one off shows bringing with them a treasured duo called-

MONOBROW- LIVERPOOL FREE-NOISE COLLECTIVE started in 2007 for a show with Kong in Bar Fresa. Originally a duo called Peter Smyth and running for the last 4 years doing very little to push forward popular music but swelled immensely with members of a.P.A.t.T / Stig Noise / Beast-Gigantees / Indica Ritual / The International - The Left Hand / Ruivin / Barberos n many more different combinations basically to include as many drummers and textures as could realistically fit in any one performance space.

Monobrow Recording Dec 2008

This wall of noise concoction of twisted melodies squeezed out of clarinets, sax, trumpet and Double Bass was perfectly archived during recording an Lp ( monobrow II ) with mr Rob Whitley.

This show will be their LAST EVER PERFORMANCE and comes with the release of 'POOR BATTLES' single on Lancashire & Somerset
http://www.monobrow.org.uk/

many more surprises and interesting things to be had including 100% Fuck OFF from the faces and hands of WCOLT creature and Mr Jon Davis
